Privacy Policy

This website is deliberately simple. It has no accounts, no forms, no advertising and no analytics, and its pages set no cookies. We receive personal data only when you choose to contact us. The details follow.

Effective 19 September 2026

1.Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how M3 The Builders Craft (“we”, “us”), a project management consultancy based in Kuravilangad, Kottayam, Kerala, handles personal data about visitors to m3thebuilderscraft.com and people who contact us through it. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) we are the data fiduciary for that data.

It does not cover the personal data of clients we work with under an engagement, which is handled under our agreement with them, or the websites we link to.

2.What we collect

The enquiry buttons on the website open WhatsApp, your e-mail app or your phone. Nothing you type goes through the website itself. We receive personal data in three ways:

  • Messages you send us. When you write or call, we receive your name, your phone number or e-mail address, whatever you tell us about your project, and, on WhatsApp, your profile name.
  • Technical data from our hosting provider. Its servers log the IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, the date and time, and the page you came from. It is used to keep the website secure and working.
  • Two settings saved in your own browser: your light or dark theme and your high-contrast choice. These stay on your device (see Cookies and local storage below).

Please do not send identity documents or bank details when you first get in touch. We will tell you if and when we need anything of the kind.

3.Cookies and local storage

The public pages of this website set no cookies, and use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies or pixels. That is why there is no cookie banner.

The website does save two small settings in your browser’s local storage: m3-theme, which records whether you chose the light or dark theme, and m3-contrast, which records whether you turned high contrast on. They remember your choice on your next visit, are never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser’s settings.

Two other things are worth knowing. The photographs on the website are delivered by Sanity’s content network (cdn.sanity.io), so your browser asks Sanity for them and Sanity sees your IP address, as any host would. And when you follow a link to WhatsApp, a social network or Google Maps, that service may set its own cookies under its own policy.

4.Why we use it

  • to reply to your enquiry and give you the information, consultation or proposal you asked for;
  • to keep the website secure, and to find and fix faults;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

Under the DPDP Act we rely on your consent, which you give by contacting us and can withdraw at any time, and on the legitimate uses the Act allows, such as responding to something you asked for and complying with the law. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to, we do not profile you, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.

5.Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use a few service providers to run the website and to talk to you, and they handle data on our behalf:

  • Vercel Inc., which hosts the website;
  • Sanity AS, which holds the website’s content and delivers its images;
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) and Google (for e-mail), when you message or e-mail us.

We may also disclose personal data where a law, a court or a public authority requires it.

6.Where data is processed

Some of these providers process data on servers outside India. The DPDP Act allows that except to countries the Government of India has restricted, and we do not knowingly send personal data to any such country.

7.How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any engagement that follows, and afterwards for as long as our records or the law require. Then we delete it or make it anonymous. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a limited period under its own schedule.

If you ask us to erase your personal data we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

8.Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • have it corrected, completed or updated;
  • have it erased;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • have a grievance dealt with;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

To use any of them, write to us at the address at the end of this page. We will reply as soon as we reasonably can, and within any time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9.Children

The website is for adults planning building projects. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has sent us some, tell us and we will delete it.

10.Keeping data safe

The website is served over HTTPS, access to its content system is limited to authorised staff, and we use established providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

11.Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if what we do changes, and before we start anything that would change it, such as adding analytics or an enquiry form. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Our Terms of Use cover the use of the website more generally.

12.Questions and grievances
